About
Hi, I’m Sally.
I’m a Senior Physiotherapist and the Founder of Movement Physio (she/her).
I’m passionate about supporting people living with eating disorders, and about the essential role physiotherapy plays in recovery.
I work across both public and private practice: as a Senior Physiotherapist in the Eating Disorder Service at Perth Children’s Hospital, and here at Movement Physio, where I see clients in person in North Perth and via Telehealth Australia-wide.
I take the time to listen to your story and understand every part of your health: physical, emotional and social. Together, we work towards a safe, sustainable relationship with movement.
My professional background on LinkedIn (opens in a new tab) ↗How I work
My approach
My approach to care is patient-centred, collaborative and based on trust and respect. I prioritise intuitive movement, body autonomy, and improving function and quality of life rather than focusing on weight or body size.
My philosophy
I reject the harmful and stigmatising beliefs that link body weight with health or personal worth. Instead, I promote body respect, and aim to create a safe and inclusive space where everyone feels valued and heard.
Part of the team
I’m passionate about my role in managing the physical and psychological components of eating disorders. My training and expertise as a physiotherapist allow me to safely manage exercise throughout recovery.
Why I started Movement Physio
I started my private practice to support people living with eating and exercise disorders, using a holistic approach to explore their relationship with exercise in a safe, non-judgemental way.
My values
I envision a world where everyone, regardless of body size, has the freedom to heal, thrive and pursue health on their own terms, with self-compassion and respect.
Relational
The relationship between us is one of the most important parts of care. I want you to feel safe and seen.
Integrity
Honesty, transparency and consistency in everything I do. I honour my commitments and stay grounded in my values.
Curiosity
I’m always learning: listening deeply, questioning thoughtfully, and seeking new evidence and approaches to improve care.
Leadership
Leadership lives in everyday actions: shaping a better future through authenticity, integrity and compassion.
